Many engineering projects in Palestine especially the public ones are reported as exceeding their planned time and cost. This project aims to analyze one of those projects to know the reasons of delay. This project is a secondary school located in Qalqilia city and it is called Muskat secondary school. The school consists of four floors. The analysis includes cost estimation of materials, equipments and labors used in the project. Also, scheduling principles are applied to the project to predict the total number of days required to complete it using the most recent computer tools and programs like peramevra. So, to achieve this with real estimation, productivity rates of labors for various works are estimated, here in Palestine, with the most important factors that affect the work quality. Besides, a redesign of structural elements is performed to seek the most economical structural system that achieves the required safety. Moreover, structural conceptual checks are performed on the original design of structural systems to see if they meet the minimum requirements by the codes specified to be used in the design.
