      Jenin is one of the major cities in Palestine. According to its importance in the residential, economical, and educational aspects. Therefore, an efficient road network connects between its surrounding parts becomes very important. The road network should be studied well and improved continuously to be efficient and active.

One of the main roads in this network is Arab American University (AAU) Street which extends from Qabatya to the AAU. This road serves many facilities such as Ro’ya stadium, The American School, Arab American University, Haddad Tourism Village, and other parties.

The main objective of this project is to examine and evaluate the mentioned road according to the geometric standards in order to guarantee the efficiency of this road, and also the safety issues. Besides, to examine the pavement layers to accommodate the existing and forecasting future traffic volumes.

The objectives of this project could be achieved through the following methodology:

-         Office study of the existing information for the contour maps, horizontal alignment, and all available data for the mentioned road.

-         Visit the existing mentioned road.

-         Perform traffic studies and determine LOS.

-          Make the needed lab tests such as CBR test, and then compare the results with AASHTO specifications.

-         Searching for solutions for the existing problems of the road and put the alternatives.

-         Finally, considering the geometric, pavement, and traffic design for the road.
