The aim of this research is to show the effect of applying project management techniques and concepts in the construction project.

Methodology:

Our report is divided into two parts, Theoretical and practical;

ü  In the first part we’ll collect data about different aspects of project management from books and websites, then sort and filter them, also make discussions and recommendations where there a need.

ü  In the second, we’ll take an already executed construction project to make a time schedule and cost estimate –using appropriate computer software’s- to apply the theoretical part discussed in the first part, then make a comparison between our results with actual results take from the project.

ü  This report has been conducted before, but duo to its importance, inclusion and the development in this trend, then the need has appeared to make a continuous updating in the principles and modifying of the methods of management

Project’s aim:

In the first section (part) of the project (theoretical) we want to make a report about the management knowledge areas covers identifying of its concepts, and how to applying its techniques in the projects in general, and finally showing how it’s important to understand these concept and use these techniques.

In the second part of the project we want to take the reconstruction of “Far’on Street” in Tulkarm city as a case study of the project management, because we notes that this public project was take more time than the expected and the cost maybe more than need to reconstruct this street.

We aim to reach a better result according to project scope, time and cost using managed project requirements.
