This project is about the “Evaluation of The Structural Design of Nursing and Optical Faculty- An Najah National University” and aim to compare between the design using structural analysis program, designed by civil engineering students, and the design from an official engineering office, designed by graduated engineers, identify the difference’s and conclude the results.
The building was designed by the Consolidated Consultant office in Amman-Jordan in July 2010, and the building was opened for lectures in September 2012. The building located at An-Najah National University’s new campus -at Aljunad west of Nablus city, behind the faculty of medicine and in front of the library. It is consist of seven floors with a total area of 6665.14m2.
The project was divided into two parts:
Part one: three dimensional model were built using structural analysis program SAP2000 Ver. 14.2.4, then verify the structural analysis results.
Part two: the structural elements will be designed, and compare the design with the drawings. By this comparison the building will be evaluated and results and conclusions will be deduced.
