Research Objective

Worldwide, the quantity of available water varies over space and time, and is influenced by natural and manmade factors including climate, hydrogeology, management practices and pollution. This study focused on the hydrology of Wadi Al-Qilt, The main objective of this project is to derive the unit hydrograph of Wadi Al-Qilt catchment.

In order to achieve the main idea, the following objectives should be satisfied:

a) To characterize the features of Wadi El-Quilt catchment including: location, topography, soil, land use, and climate.

b) To divide the catchment into three or four-sub-catchments, and draw the stream network.

c) To develop the unit hydrograph for each sub-catchment using Snyder’s, and SCS methods, and to compare the results.

d) To convolute the unit hydrograph for the entire catchment
