This project is concentrated of soil nailing rather than traditional retaining wall as bracing system.
Chapter Two summaries the main types of excavation support systems. It talks about open excavation, braced excavations. Braced excavations including, soldier beams, sheet pile, slurry wall, Bored cast- in- place sheet pile wall, cofferdam, soil nailing, soil grouting, soil freezing.
Soil nailing is presented in Chapter Three. This chapter illustrates elements of soil nailing include, nail head, grouting, centralizers, wall facing, drainage system, corrosion protection elements. Construction Sequence of the soil nailing. Application of soil nail wall. Feasibility evaluation of soil nail wall. And advantages and disadvantages of soil nail wall.
In Chapter Four we will talk about design of soil Nail walls and there steps from the initial and the Preliminary to the final design and then we will solve an example which clarify the situation and all the steps of solution.
Chapter Five include the two main programs which we use for Soil Nail Walls, then we use the SNAIL program to solve the previous example step by step and we will show that by the figure.
