Reinforced concrete structures are one of the most popular structure systems

used in Palestine. This project addresses the analysis and design of a reinforced

concrete structural system that is located in jenin (mall doctor Ziad Sinan).

Mall doctor ziad Sinan consists of four floors with total area of 7615.5 m2. This

project will be divided into two parts. The first part intends to prepare the basic

information required to facilitate efficient structural design and analysis under static

load. The construction of concrete is controlled by ACI 318-11 code, while the second

phase will be redesigned considering gravity as well as seismic loads. This design is

based on IBC-code 2012. Structural elements such as footings, stairs, columns, beams,

slabs and shear walls will be completed.

To make a mathematical model that represents the reality, 3-D structural

model is needed to analyze the building under static and seismic loads using ETABS

2016 program. The analysis is verified using conceptual hand calculation for 1D model.

Finally, Comparison between conceptual analysis/design and the results from the

software (ETABS) program will be high lightened .Detailed design using manual and a

software program will also be presented.
