This project is dealing with the structural design of a commercial building called “Al Maslamani Mall”. This mall is located in Beit-Eba Street – Nablus, and has a total area of 3500m2.The aim of the establishment of this building is to be used as show rooms and factory of nuts and sweets. It consists of two basement floors, ground floor in addition to other three floors. Basement floor is used for offices and stores with an area of 656 m2, the second basement floor is used for the same purposes with an area of 1073m2. Additionally, the ground floor has stores with an area of 497.2m2.
In this project, the structural design of the building was conducted under static and seismic loads.  Manual and software analysis (SAP 2000) were conducted to design all structural elements of the project including slabs, beams, columns, footing, and shear walls. The structural elements were designed as reinforced concrete members according to strength and serviceability criteria as specified in ACI 318-08, for seismic design UBC-97\IBC2009 were used. Full detail drawings were prepared using AutoCAD for designed structural elements
