Our graduation project deals with a proposed structure which is (Diya’ al Affori building) in Nablus city. This structure has an area of 7028.55 m ², and a height of 52.52m. It consists of 9 floors and roof in addition to 2 Basement floors and parking garage. The practical function for this structure is commercial.
The project introduces the structural analysis and design of a reinforced concrete structure in two projects. The structural analysis was performed considering static and dynamic loads using 3D models made by computer software (SAP2000).In this project we introduced an introduction to the building, analysis and design processes including the primary assumptions considered for the design against gravity. Also a sample of structural elements such as columns, beams, and slabs was designed using this program. Hand calculation was made to verify SAP2000 results. Finally, the results of the analysis and design were made into a report with detailed drawings for the building.
During the design the following codes were followed:
ACI 318-14
ASCE-07
UBC-97
