Environmental design integrates the artificial built environment with the surrounding natural world in a manner that preserves limited resources.
Tell village was taken as a case study for Palestinian remote villages, which face several water problems.
The scope of this project is to make Tell as environmental village starting from the water distribution and wastewater disposal down to treatment methods, as well as dealing with solid wastes by integrating environmental design, water, wastewater and solid waste. These systems will be reviewed, analyzed and designed by using WaterCAD, SewerCAD, and manual calculation for solid waste.
Upon completion of the project we expect that many of the environmental and social problems will been solved that leads to better healthy life.
Environmental design is not a new concept but it is the first of its kind in Palestinian villages.
- Ø General Background
Life certainly is a very complex thing, the good life without doubt is not easy; however, to live in a better way than we are used is certainly possible.
With the world's progress in various fields, human attention increased to the surrounding environment and became note freestanding studied by universities in the world, which is known as Environmental Design.
Environmental design means finding buildings that not affect the health or changed a lot in the surrounding environmental system.
Environmental system include any place where life be or could be, surrounding made environment which is man-made, such as cities, water network and other facilities of life.
Environmental problems usually arise because of imbalance or deterioration in some of the interactions that take place between the components of the environmental system.
Environmental design has become an urgent need to make human life better, easier, more healthy and suitable location for humans and the environment.
- Ø Objectives
This project aims mainly to:
1- Design efficient water distribution network for Tell village using WaterCAD.
2- Design wastewater collection network for Tell Village using SewerCAD.
3- Analysis and design of solid waste system for Tell village.
4- Design wastewater treatment plant for the village and neighboring regions.
