The importance of this project comes from several reasons, which reflect the desire to have unique project in our country as other neighboring countries. This comes at time that the Palestinian Authority is seeking to establish a state of Palestine and build its as main infrastructures (transportation, water, waste water, energy, etc.) in the West Bank, that will accommodate the large and rapidly growing population. So, the desire to travel from one part to another is secured. This project will also provide many job opportunities and will open new development areas for people to live and work.

Finally we can say, that is a “state project” will provide a relife to the entire region and will provide for the Palestinians to rely on their transportation network.

Objectives

We aim in this project [[TRANS WEST BANK HIGHWAY]] to link between making planning and general design for a new highway in the West Bank which will connect all parts of the country in one transportation network extends from the far north of Jenin, to the far south of Hebron. It will also be linked with the road network of the neighboring countries. This requires the task of selecting the optimal path by using the modern computer technology and sort of data to make a good analysis.
