There are many aspects of water resources management including the optimal water allocation, quality assessment, conservation and the prediction of future water demands that require studying prior to develop strategies for water utilization, planning and decision making. A more practical and widely accepted approach is to apply the concept of integrated land and water management to sustain both the environment and agricultural production as a socio-economic resource base. As a preliminary step, these management aspects and others necessitate the characterization of the water resources in the area of interest. One of the established methods to carry out this assessment work is through modeling and statistical analysis of the spatial and temporal variability of water resources quantity. The catchment based approach to water resources management is the most logical basis for water resources management from environmental, social and economic point of view. In the following sections, the literature review covers studies pertaining to optimal water allocation for agriculture-dominated catchments. This graduation project is to make a hydrological study and design for earth fill dam to manage a large amount of rain water that goes without using.

Objectives

The main objective of this study is the exploitation of water resources to obtain reliable estimates of the water in the basin of Al-Faria and Al-Faria one watershed basin to contribute to the Jordan River Basin, and through these estimates, we can look at the innovation systems of exploitation of water sources, such as a dam near the Jesser AL-Malaqi the general objective from these studies:

  1. To make a good management for the rain water.
  2. To use this water for agricultural activities.
  3. And make artificial recharge to groundwater.
