In this project (Deir Sharaf - Bazzarya) road, it is required to design part of road that connects between Nablus – Jenin cities to achieve the objective that serves the needs of vehicle that pass along this road.
The road contains six main intersections that branch from the main road. The first one is at the beginning of the project in the entrance of Deir Sharaf Village which is not included in the design. The second one serves Al-naqura Village. The third one leads to Sabastya Town, but this one does not have high volume of vehicles using it. Instead of this branch, there is a fourth that enters to Sabastya Town and this is the main entrance for it. The fifth intersection is Burqa intersection that goes to Burqa Town. The final intersection is at the end of the project that branches into Jenin City and Bazzarya Village.
The main objective of this project is to evaluate, design and redesign of Deir Sharaf - Bazzarya Road.
The particular objectives of this project include:
1.
Geometric design of Deir Sharaf - Bazzarya Road and produce a proper design of the intersections on the highway according to the standards.
2.
Provide safety for vehicles movement especially on horizontal and vertical curves and intersections.
3.
Prepare detailed drawings for the horizontal and vertical alignment, intersections, and cross - section elements.
4.
Provide proper drainage system design according to the standards.
5.
Provide required details such as retaining structures, guardrail, marking, etc.
