Design and Analysis of Muhanad Suwan Building

This project consists from a residential building with an area of 308 square meters, which was constructed in 2009; this building consists from five stories and located in the city of Nablus, near Rafidia zone.

 

1.1       structural system of building :

 

         This building has all different structural elements such as slabs, beams, columns, shear walls, stairs and footings.

1- Slab system: there are two types of slabs which are one way ribbed slab, and two way ribbed slabs.

2- Beams: beams are supported on columns and walls.

3- Columns: all columns have rectangular sections.

4- Walls: Block walls and shear walls.

5- Stairs

6- Footings: all footings are isolated footings

1.3 Description of building:

 

     This building consists of five stories including different facilities such as:

1- Bedrooms.

2- Bathrooms.

3- Kitchens.

4- Meetings rooms.

5- Other facilities.

·         American Concrete Institute (ACI 2008) code.

 

·         Uniform Building Code (UBC 97).
