On Monday the 7th of April, the Computer Engineering Department held a meeting with the Department students in presence of the Department staff, aiming to strengthen the communication between the Department and its students and to involve them with the preparation process of ABET accreditation, also to display the students outcomes for Computer Engineering Program.
Dr.Ashraf Armosh ‘The Chairman of the Computer Engineering Department’ welcomed the students, and emphasized the importance of the constant communication between the department and its students to raise the issues that interest the students and to hear their opinions and suggestions that will be part of the continuous improvement process.
Then Dr.Ashraf presented the recent activities and developments of the department and gave the students a brief introduction about ABET accreditation and its benefits to the students , the staff members, and the computer engineering department.
The meeting continued with a presentation given by Dr.Samer Arandi about the student outcomes of Computer Engineering Program, he illustrated and discussed the outcomes with the students. In addition, Dr.Samer presented the newly rephrased program objectives. Furthermore, Dr.Samer discussed the enrolment process for the course “practical training” and its evaluating criteria and how to communicate with the University during the training course.
After that Dr.Ashraf informed the students about the graduation projects requirements for the current year, and the advisory plan in addition to courses offered in summer semester. Them, Dr. Ashraf opened the door for queries from students, where Dr.Ashraf and the faculty members answered the queries and listened to students’ suggestions.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr.Ashraf thanked and faculty members and the students for their attendance and participation, and stressed out the importance of holding such meetings in the future.
