The Quality and Accreditation Unit (ABET centre) at An-Najah National University has recently launched the Alumni Survey 2014 online. The survey has targeted our Computer Engineering Alumni, who graduated from 2006 to 2013.
The survey aimed at reviewing the Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) of our Engineering Program to meet the international standards of Quality (ABET). The survey also aimed at taking feedback and information from our Alumni about their employability, career progression, and recent endeavours.
A total number of 441 Engineering Alumni responded to the survey, 60 of whom were Computer Engineering Alumni. Majority of the respondents were among the graduates of the last 5 years (2009-2013), and most of them were males.
The survey shows that 25% of CE Alumni have pursed graduate studies (master, PhD), a percentage that is considered high as compared to other Engineering Programs at NNU.
Moreover, the survey shows that CE specialization is highly demanded in the region with a percentage of 80% of Alumni are currently employed, 75% of whom work inside Palestine.
CE Alumni are employed in various professional positions. However, it was noticeable that the Software Engineering is the most demanded position in the region. Furthermore, the Alumni of CE are paid relatively satisfactory salaries locally and abroad.
Finally, Our Alumni indicated that they are satisfied with the newly rephrased Computer Engineering Program Educational Objectives (PEOs).
