The Concept

The purpose of the project is about industrial and cultural architecture, specifically the relationship between an olive mill and its agriculture landscape and the way it is connected in the Palestinian culture. Because only considering the landscape, the surrounding area, the site, and the importance of the place in people’s minds, the architecture could take form.

The site Located near bet dajan gives an opportunity to reconsider that production area and the Palestinian debate about how is possible relating these samples of industrial architecture with the surrounding site.

What we mean talking about “olive center” a kind of place that will works as an iconic symbol and to be a recognizable center gathering between production of olive tree and the Palestinians culture.

In this project all spaces are thought considering the natural process to product olive oil and the relationship between olive and the surrounding areas and the ground.
