Abstract

Part 1  :

Coin Identification using eddy current: it’s a way to identify the metal coins while it rolls down a ramp.

While it is running down a magnet producing a small current called eddy current will affect on the speed of the coin which depends on the radius of this coin.

By using Arduino Uno the time will be calculated from the start of rolling to the end, the result will be shown on the screen.

Part 2:

Coin identifier using matlab: the matlab is computer program and its very useful program for engineers especially electrical and communication engineers.

The idea of this project is a photo contains the coin or a video streaming will be taken and the program will calculate the radius and the center of each coin and compare it with the data stored in the program and show the result which is the type of the coin.
