Feasibility study for precast concrete factory

This project suggests a new type of construction in Palestine, this type has many important attributes that doesn’t exist in the traditional one which make it more desirable and required.

This project represents feasibility study of precast concrete construction factory, where the study is divided into four main parts which is a general description of the project and then a market study, followed by a technical study that determines the size of the investment and operational costs of the project, and finally financial analysis and economic indicators, and also the sensitivity of the project.

In Market Study the market was studied to estimate the demand of precast concrete products. In Palestine there are no factories for producing precast concrete, until now, these products are not available in the Palestinian market. There are no options available to consumers except fresh concrete.

ata was collected by making interviews and a questionnaires were distributed in order to measure the acceptability of precast concrete in west bank .Through analyzing collected obtained data, it was found that there is noticeable acceptance to purchase these products.

In Technical study we supposed to produce different types of products which are panels, and floors, and these products will occupies 30% of the market share of the demand on precast products

The establishment costs of the project was estimated to be $5,154,548.76.

The Financial analysis analyzing data to see whether this project is profitable enough to be invested in or not.  Different indicators were calculated like Net Present Value ($ 15,743,225.9297), Rate of Return(34.44%),Pay Back Period(3.1 years) and breakeven point reached at (4310.49 1.2m2) for hollow core slabs, (6542.9m2) for interior walls, and (1656.72 m2) for exterior walls, and this indicate that this project will be feasible and profitable.
