Our project is the design of a robotic system for the classification of objects according to their color. The system consists of a base, a horizontal and vertical arm, a micro-controller, a box that holds the items that will be classified and a grid of six-box cells, each cell holds the items after classification such that each cell holds the items that have the same color.
A magnet picks the object from the small box, then the sensor detects the color of the object and then the object is placed in the correct cell according to its color.
Our robotic system has many useful usages, for example it can be used to classify objects in factories, also it can be used to classify dangerous materials in chemical laboratories based on their color.
