Distillation of Tire Pyrolysis oil(TPO)

This project aims to distillate the tire pyrolysis oil in order to dispose of the sulfur which has several negative effects on the air, and also to limits the gum formation which breaks motors down.

 

 Distillation process was done on several substances and we noticed that if we distillate the whole substance, the distillated material will approximately be 93% of TPO substance. Also the operation temperature of distillation process was in a range from 150oC and up to 370oC in order to distillate the whole TPO substance; and this distillated sample contains about 70-90% diesel and it could be mixed up with diesel, or if distillated perfectly, it could be used instead of diesel in automobiles motors. Moreover, in this project and on the second graduating project we are going to improve the final distillated material by making many experiments to get higher percentage of diesel in the distillated substance.
