Standard operation procedures are strategic tools and guidelines to help foundation tackle some of the most demanding challenges of modern business. They ensure that operations are as efficient as possible, increase productivity, save time and cost, improve efficiency and ultimately improve customer relationships and enhance customer satisfaction.

They also demonstrate and monitor effective planning, operation and control of organization’s processes and the implementation and continual improvement of its quality management system, and provide a stated quality policy, quality manual and documented procedures, along with documented organization, implementation and record keeping.

In this case, the intended organization is the Deanship of Admission and Registration of An-Najah National University, this project aims to document standard operating procedures for the current situation and improving them as they could achieve the best quality.

By developing systematic procedures for the mentioned department, maximum benefits will be provided if it implement the documented procedures in a practical way. This will ensure that the quality management systems that are adopted work to improve the processes and are not just a set of procedures that employees will find hard to manage. So the output of this project will improve a system that will help and support the departments' staff and employees, and promote them to apply the quality as a culture.

As a result, a consistent, repeatable process will be achieved; fewer problems and failures in the quality of processes or services will be resulted, knowing more quickly if things are going wrong and where issues happened, stop spending money or wasting time on the same old problems. Many problems will disappear because it will be known how to prevent them, in addition to the better management control and reporting, which means that it will be easy to know how processes is going.

The actual output that has been drawn from this project and that will help in achieving the goals that mentioned above is documenting all the processes that implemented in Admission and Registration department and representing them by flow charts and written standard operating procedures, which were done for 36 processes of department's operations. As well as, reviewing all the forms that used in the department and improving them to be more effective in conducting the procedures. Completing the above leads the project to be fertile base for preparing ISO9001:2008 requirements, and that what were done in the last part of this project.
