Among the large number of photovoltaic applications, we are interested in the cathodic protection; it’s one of the most widely used methods for corrosion prevention, mainly in the oil and gas industries.

Corrosion has been around for all of recorded history, cathodic protection is the electrical solution to the corrosion problem.

In order to protect exposed equipment from corrosion, the power system consists in providing DC current to the metal pipeline. In remote area solar system is the best solution to protect electricity

preventing corrosion of metallic structure in this project it's an underground pipelines.

This project is a study of protecting a pipeline of length 5 km from corrosion using impressed current cathodic protection by solar power system.

This project is a design and Simulink of the complete system from the pipeline to the pv system.
