Solar energy is the transmitted energy from the sun as electromagnetic wave with different frequency. This energy is the major source of a renewable energy, its clean, available at any time, and does not run out.
Solar energy has variety of applications such as, used in heating water for domestic or for swimming pool by using solar collector heater and generating electrical energy using solar panel. Today, the utilization of solar energy is extend to control the temperature and ventilation in the building design.
This chapter discusses different use of solar energy in the history. Utilization of solar energy in Palestine based on location and solar radiation, solar energy applications, solar heater system and the installation condition.
