Automation is the use of control system and information technologies to reduce the need for human work in the production of goods and services. Also, it greatly decreases the need for human sensory and mental requirements, increases the productivity and reduces the labor cost. In the current scenario, most countries do not have sufficient skilled manpower specifically in agricultural sector and it affects the growth of developing countries. So it’s a time to automate this sector to overcome this problem. An innovative idea of our project is to automate the process of sowing seeds such as sunflower, baby corn, groundnut and vegetables like beans, lady’s finger, pumpkin and pulses like black gram, green gram etc to reduce the human effort and increase the yield.

The main components of the production line are the pneumatic system, the conveyor belt, motor, sensors, and microcontroller. The conveyor belt allows the trays to move in a straight line from one position to another. When the tray is detected by the sensors fixed on the table of the conveyor, the operation of sowing will start and then the tray will move to the trolley by the worker. This operation will be repeated for all trays that farmer want to sow.
