This course will introduce Business Process Management (BPM) concepts to students. This include simulation, verification, and linking processes to business and social aspects. Differences between workflow management systems and BPM will be emphasized.  Current technologies influenced by BPM are represented such as service oriented architectures, BPMN and BPEL. Different process languages are described (Petri nets, Workflow nets, YAWL). Process analysis using these languages for process verification and validation are introduces.
