This course provides an overview of conventional control systems design. It introduces fuzzy control systems and general fuzzy systems, including linguistic variables, values and rules, fuzzy sets, fuzzy logic and the Rule-Base. It also looks at the fuzzification and defuzzification processes, mathematical representation of fuzzy systems, takagi-Sugeno fuzzy systems, the simulation and case studies of fuzzy control systems and an ntroduction to fuzzy identification and estimation.
