This course includes a general introduction to communication systems, the representation of signals, bandwidth, amplitude modulation, ordinary AM, DSB-SC, SSB, VSB, frequency translation, phase modulation and frequency modulation, narrow band FM, wide band FM, the transmission of information, noise sources and their effects in communications systems, filters and demodulation devices. It also looks at frequency division Multiplexing, sampling theorem and TDM and analog pulse modulation (PAM, PDM, PPM).
