Welcome to the computer networks and information security (NIS) Department Webpage at the University of An Najah. NIS offers students with the theoretical and practical parts for all areas of computer networks and information security. NIS Focuses on giving students the skills needed to design develop and maintain wired and wireless computer networks. It provides students with all the tools needed to manage, design, install, configure and operate computer networks. Also NIS gives students ability to understand the forensic requirements needed to prove an attack occurred, identify its origin, assess the extent of the damage or loss of information, and design strategies that ensure data can be recovered.
Computer networks and information security (NIS) department established in 2014 at Najah National University to prepare Palestinian people that are able to meet the challenges in the field of information security and computer network.
NIS department granted bachelor's degree in networks and information security which provides students with all the skills and training needed to design and build a secure computer networks and information and is able to monitor and repel any attack or attempt to penetrate.
The department currently has a number of assistant professors (PhD) specializing in a wide range of areas in the field of computer networks. More assistant professors are expected to join the department in the coming years in different areas of information security.
