Welcome to the Mechatronics Engineering Department, a newly-born and distinguished department in the Faculty of Engineering at An-Najah National University. The department was established in 2008 with the aim of providing the local and regional market with well-educated and trained Mechatronics Engineers according to international standards in education and training. Mechatronics Engineering can be defined as synergistic combination of Mechanical, Electronics, Control, and Computer Engineering all are integrated horizontally and vertically through the design processes and manufacturing.
The strength of the Mechatronics Engineering Program stems from three principles.
· Curriculum: We provide our students with innovative and outstanding curriculum that meets the international standers of quality in education. The Mechatronics Engineering department is committed to the continuous improvement of curriculum to satisfy the needs of its stakeholders (Students, Alumni, Employers … etc.).
· Faculty: our department possesses distinguished faculty members from diverse professional and academic areas who earned their degrees from prestigious international universities.
· Facilities: The department’s facilities (i.e. rooms, labs, offices etc) are well equipped with the necessary furniture and the state-of-the-art equipment to provide our students and faculty members with an appropriate educational environment. For example, the department encompasses blended learning (e-learning) class rooms, well prepared class rooms, well equipped laboratories, computer laboratory, computing recourses etc.
Finally, it is worth mentioning that the Mechanical Engineering program is accredited by AQAC(Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission) at the Ministry of Higher Education in Palestine. Moreover, our undergraduate program is going through ABET accreditation process which will help the program to getinternational recognition and enhance the employment opportunities of our graduates worldwide.
