Drinking water and sewerage networks are one of the most important infrastructures that make our life healthy and keep the surrounding environment free of polluted drinkable water. Special care is recently being given to those networks because of the high relevant to our daily activities starting from drinking a glass of water to flushing toilette by water. So data collection, analysis, review, and design is needed to have the clean water always available whenever it required and effectively get rid away of the wastewater.

Designing efficient water distribution network mean to deliver the water to each demand point according to the pressure and velocity criteria and to minimize the water losses as possible in the network. On the other hand the wastewater collection system must be built to meet the criteria by mainly depending on gravity without pumping, but in both water and wastewater systems should be designed and implemented within street with optimized cost possible.

Our project is about analyzing and designing Zawata village for water and waste water networks. At the first we will investigate the existing networks and to find out whether they are reliable and adequate, if so we need to know life time span and how much longer it can be still efficient as well as the population in the future that can be served by the networks which causes more water demand at the network and more wastewater generation on sewer networks.

The project is formed from two parts, the first one about water distribution network:

Water is the gift from God which we must conserve. So to have the benefit of this

gift we need to be responsible and conservative.

Keeping water healthy and clean need designing and continuous monitoring, also

need to dispose of the waste water in the right way.

To be able to show the importance of this idea we are going to analyze and

redesign water and wastewater networks for Zawata village.

Zawata has a water network and sewer network. it has also so many problems

need to be solved in these networks , in addition it is required to design the area for the future water and wastewater loads.

Living in healthy, clean, beautiful environment is the dream of all human beings

on the planet so to make this dream come true we should save the precious things on it.

Sustainable development for the environment is required for this dream

In order to achieve our main objective we need time, hard work and actions to be done.

To clarify the idea we can start with Zawata as a sample of what must be done as follows

· Analyze and redesign Zawata water network

· Analyze and redesign Zawata wastewater network

· Use GIS to establish more realistic models

On the other hand Animals do not flush toilets, take baths, or wash dishes or clothes. Therefore, animal wastewater may not have the same characteristics municipal wastewater.

In general animal manure is much more concentrated than municipal wastewater.

Nablus municipality has regulations for the facilities in order to be connected to the wastewater network, these regulations are industries because their effluent will be harmful to the network and the treatment plant.

Now there are more than 13 farms located in Zawata village and they are disposing to the Wadi that connected to the trunk line that carry wastewater to Nablus wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in Deir Sharaf.
