Process of sustainable development based on global standards, specifications and tested model for advancement of the healthcare sector . One of these integrated management models of building institutional is European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) , which become known in worldwide as (( Excellence model )) , that applicable in the European Union, and many Arab countries adopted it such as the Gulf state and Jordan .
A model of the European Foundation for Quality Management is the one of the key frames to help organizations enhance their competitiveness and achieve excellence as one of the most important criteria , also it is significant to assess the extent of progress and power in companies , in the other hand , this model provides a means of Supporting institutions to balance its priorities better, and recruitment of human resources and the development of realistic action plans to management.
Self-assessment process is the main objective of the project in accordance with standards of excellence model European EFQM , note that the self-assessment process will be evaluated by RADAR logic . Through this process evaluation , diagnosis of the current situation of the institution compared with the requirements of the standards followed the model , in order to identify gaps , and develop a desirable projects to be executed by the institution in order to develop methodologies and practices lead to improve performance results continuously to achieve mission ,vision of the institution.
In research , EFQM principles has implemented on healthcare, by applying it on two hospitals (one of them has an ISO certification and other have not). Depend on scoring process, this scoring contains two parts , the first part explain the enablers , while the second part focused on results . each part include a quantitative evaluation forms ( marks ) In addition to , a qualitative evaluation forms (feedback) , which select the main strengths and the most desirable opportunities improvements .
Working executed by a team , through field assessment , to verify the extent of the requirements of the EFQM Excellence Model as the methodologies , practices and the extent of its actual application, also through interviews with the managers of the hospitals , follow that the accessing to documents and evidences which enhanced for this application.
Finally, comparison the results of tow hospitals according to criteria of both EFQM-Excellence model and ISO system .
