is a direct reading production type hardness testing machine for measuring the Brinell hardness of steels and other metals whether flat, round or irregular in shape. The machine is simple in design and easy to operate yet very sensitive and accurate. The machine is provided with a dial indicator which measures the difference in the depth of indentation produced by the minor and major loads. After application of the minor load the dial gauge is set to zero. The final depth reading is taken after the removal of the major load with minor load of 250 kgf still applied.
