This project aims to analysis and design the foundation of Al-Najjar building located in Nablus city. The building consists of 10 stories. Several types of foundation systems alternative will be analyzed and design in this project

The project contains six chapters; Chapter Two presents a review of foundation in general, it talks about types of footing, modes of failure and bearing capacity. Chapter Three present structural analysis of the proposed building project. SAP2000 versions 14 is used to analyze the structural part of the project. Loads are tabulated and presented in this chapter.

Chapter Four summaries the main aspects of geotechnical report for the proposed project site. It talks about soil bearing capacity, settlement, parameters, and other geotechnical parameters. Geotechnical and structural design of the shallow foundation system suggested for this project is illustrated in Chapter Five.  

Chapter Six talks about pile design foundation system and the result of design piles.
