CONTINUOUS SOLID/LIQUID EXTRACTION PILOT PLANT

Laboratory:
Unit Operations Lab
CONTINUOUS SOLID/LIQUID EXTRACTION PILOT PLANT

The solid-liquid extraction process enables the removal of a solute or more solutes from a solid phase using a liquid solvent. This operation was called "leaching" and was referred to a liquid (solvent) which was percolating across a fixed bed of solid material. Today, this process is defined more generically as "solid-liquid extraction", also by similitude to the "liquid-liquid" extraction operation.
