Flash And Fire Points (BY CLEVELAND OPEN CUP)

    This test is  Used for determining the flash and fire point of petroleum products. The flash point is an indirect measurement of the quantity and kind of volatiles present in the asphalt that is being tested .In addition to that this test is indicative of the temperature to which the asphalt can be safely heated under working conditions , especially where heating is being accomplished in an open vessel over an open flame .

Standard : BS  4689  : 1971 ,  ASTM D  92-66 ;IP36 / 67  .

Test - equipment 

·         Cleveland flash tester.

Accessories:

• Brass cup
• Electric heater
• Temperature controller.Conforming with the CE European directive, is supplied complete with:

-       Double line-fuse

-       Hot plate control apparatus.

• Complete with thermometer -6 +400°C.
